We’ve just passed the first day of summer, the summer solstice, a stationing and a turning. From the longest daylight of the year, we begin to lose a minute or two of daylight each day until the darkness of winter solstice turns us toward the light again. Regardless, the last 6 weeks and the next 6+ weeks bring us extended daylight—and often warmth–that so many of us revel in. We spend more time outdoors, exercise more, get out into nature more. Summer becomes a time of remembering and living life below our heads, that thing called our body, which btw, includes our head.

While we’re feeling so energetic, can we beam this extended sunlight inward as well? Shine a light on what’s come to fullness in our lives that we may celebrate, or we may let go of; and see clearly what needs attention, perhaps pruning, watering, or fertilizing to thrive during such warm, sunny, active times?

If you realize your body wants a little support, tune-up, or help this sunny and foggy season, please do call me! I’m here all summer except a week or so.  510.526.5414. In case you don’t know, practicing and teaching Ortho-Bionomy®, I’m skilled with releasing pain and tensions of all sorts including impact injuries (my favorite thing to work with), addressing cranial/sacral, myofascial, and neuromuscular concerns, and I can even help with some organ issues and emotional tensions in the body.

Enjoying all this energy from the sun these days, please consider extending some extra bits from your heart out to those around you and beyond. It will be appreciated beyond your knowing.

“What the world needs now is love, sweet love.  It’s the only thing that there’s just too little of. What the world needs now is love, sweet love. No, not just for some but for everyone.”  Burt F. Bacharach and Hal David

Warm wishes for a happy and healthy summertime.
